What are the negative consequences to having a single global currency?

What if there were to be one global currency, the same currency for every country. What would be the sequential chain of reactions caused by this change, and how would different countries be affected by it?|||

Look at the Euro for a perfect example.. What might be good in one country, isn't good in another. German for instance exports lots of stuff. They demand a weak currency so others can buy their goods. Whereas another country who imports goods needs a strong currency.

Unless somebody plans to Unify the Planet with the same culture, religion, and belief system, it won't work. A Global currency is a pipe dream.|||Different countries have different needs, and each needs to be flexible and adaptable to the global economy. A global currency may remove a high degree of flexibility.
